Welcome Center Overview.png

When families arrive in a new community, meeting basic nutritional and household needs is the critical first step toward stability. However, newly arrived immigrant and refugee households face unique structural hurdles—including a lack of access to public assistance like SNAP benefits and severe wage gaps in entry-level jobs—that make securing basic necessities nearly impossible.

While existing food banks provide a vital safety net, standard systems were not designed to solve these distinct financial and logistical barriers. The Welcome Center bridges this gap as a specialized community hub and pantry tailored specifically for newcomer families. Beyond essential groceries, we provide crucial basic-needs items—such as toiletries, baby supplies, and household essentials—alongside multilingual support and local resources in a dignified, accessible environment.

Service is a two-way street. When faith groups, civic organizations, and neighbors unite to serve, the transformation happens on both sides. Working shoulder-to-shoulder breaks down local silos, replaces assumptions with real relationships, and turns isolated good intentions into shared purpose. In lifting our new neighbors, givers gain broader perspectives, deeper connections, and a stronger, more resilient community for us all.
